Ducks, Gumbo, & Strategy

It’s that time of year at Scythe and Spade where our team comes together to set goals and objectives for 2024 and to discuss our strategy.   We had a great time at Brett’s ranch in Grand View Idaho last week, getting together to plan and set goals for continued expansion in 2024 after having exceeded our 2023 goals. High performance remote teams such as ours need the discipline to get together on a regular basis to plan and build internal relationships. For us this includes spending the week sequestered in Brett’s spacious “barn-dominium” on the Snake River playing pool, hanging out, cooking smoked lamb, gumbo, duck breast, and sneaking in a little duck hunting on the river one hundred feet away. Left to right in the photo is Brent Reed, West Coast Regional Director, Rosalie Hagglund, Systems & Services Manager, Gavin Doss, GIS Systems Analyst, Sidnee Hill, Financial Analyst, Brett MacNeil, Founder & President, Addison Taylor, Delta Regional Director, and Matt Harrod, Director of Research & Analysis. Not pictured is GIS Analyst Chelsea Ridenour, who participated by video for the actual meeting parts. We’ll have more coming on Brett’s strategy of Team development.
